Since settling in Delaware in 1988, our family-owned property has flourished as a hobby farm for over two decades, nurturing our passion for growing, teaching and crafting unique experiences. What began as a modest aspiration has evolved into three generations committed to intentional living in today’s fast-paced world. In 2015, the initial steps were taken to transition our cherished hobby farm into a fully operational agricultural enterprise.

With our official business opening in January 2022, we embarked on the journey of establishing a collaborative hybrid homestead.

A family run agro-tourism farm.

Abbotts & Oak Farms is not a traditional farm; it’s an innovative collaborative venture focused on nurturing lavender, cultivating cut flowers, and tending honeybees. We offer enriching agro-tourism experiences, educational workshops, versatile event spaces, and on-site accommodations.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide visitors with high-quality immersive experiences that celebrate the beauty of creation, offering a peaceful setting for intimate gatherings, events, and extended stays.

Around the Farm

Jeff & Patti Peck

Jeff & Patti Peck

When they are not traveling like the retired folks they are, Jeff and Patti enjoy working on the farm with their kids, spending time with their grandchildren, and helping make everything run smoothly. Patti is also our resident soap maker and is the reason many of us became interested in pursuing cleaner living.

Pablo and Brooke Chavez with their kids.

Pablo & Brooke Chavez

Pablo and Brooke enjoy raising animals, growing more of the food their family needs, and exploring the world of sustainable farming. Brooke has been a riding instructor for 20+ years, and heads up our Homesteading for Homeschoolers program. You can hear more from Brooke over at the homestead almanac.

Jeffery & Alyssa Peck

Jeffery & Alyssa Peck

Jeffery and Alyssa run our lavender, flower, and bee farm, where they’ve been growing lavender and cut flowers and caring for bees since 2022. Their goal is to create a space that’s not only beautiful but also helps people connect with nature and take a piece of it home. Whether you’re stopping in for fresh flowers, lavender products, or to attend a workshop or event, they’re thrilled to share the beauty of the farm with you!
